| So far this year has started really well. The
band has carried on where it left off at the end of '09 and
improved its quality once again.
Our first gig of the year was at the Marrs Bar in Worcester.
It went fantastically well, and the audience was brilliant
– riotously applauding after every song. Thanks to
everyone who came.
Next was the Birdwell Venue in Barnsley. What a drive!
Again it was worth it though – despite problems with
the PA. The audience made us work for it, but as always,
they came through in the end and gave us a very warm welcome.
We were even asked to sign autographs for some enthusiastic
fans. The highlight was when one fan said we rivaled the
real thing in it's heyday, so we're obviously doing something
right!
There has been an awful lot of behind the scenes work going
on too this year. We are constantly improving on the show,
and each member's dedication is without equal.
Neil (Keyboards) has started to bring his trusted and quite
old Leslie Speaker along with him to gigs adding another
dimension to the overall sound
Paul is now the proud owner of a 1971 Hiwatt DR103, and
we're sure you will agree that it not only sounds the part,
but looks it as well!
The light show is also building in complexity and craziness,
and we look forward to having a full laser show within the
near future. We are also currently working very closely
with professional lighting people that by chance happen
to be big Pink Floyd Fans. We're hoping in the long term
they will be the full time lighting crew
The band now plays The Dark Side of The Moon in its entirety
in the second half. I think we all realised that we had
to play this most perfect album – and the fans certainly
agree.
Hopefully by the next update, we will have a show-reel to
post.
Check our tour dates regularly if you can and watch this
space, folks.
